Had like, 30 minutes gap in between getting ready and meeting my friend for dinner (which was actually brekkie+lunch+dinner as I hadn't eaten anything prior to the dinner) So I decided to document myself in an attempt of being vain for half an hour.

Didn't really put much makeup on, just a few light tweaks here and there, and my winged liner for the occasion. Lightly waved my hair with the help of a curling tong in the morning (like around 8 hours before) because I like the whole messy wave styled curls.

Procrastinating...

I'm currently working on my Culinary Product: Tofu paper, which I have been procrastinated the whole weekend. Heck, I even thought of skipping school because I am so way behind... but in the end I skipped because I had a painful stomach anyway. Thus made me bedridden the whole afternoon not being able to concentrate on my research and paraphrasing (yeah right!).

I've been typing a paragraph, and then off to do some shit in Pinterest, then typed another paragraph, and then off to blogwalk, and yidi yada... the circle continues. I just don't feel the urge to research and paraphrase. It's so boring.

I rather sit in front of my laptop for 20 hours and design a book overnight.
Just like previous uni years.
Which contributed heavily on those dark circles under my eyes.

The Hair Journey

Being as easily bored as I am, I can't keep the same hairstyle for more than, let's say, 4 months. I always itch to make a difference, hence my always-having-quite-of-a-short-hair time that thankfully ended in 2010. I now have a long hair which I intend to keep growing so I can style it nicely when it's evenly long (I have disastrous layers at the moment).

May I present you... the hair journey...
(note that this post is crammed with pictures)

This is me, proudly sporting a mushroom hair in 1993. A look I will never ever visit again, despite of the Emma Watson pixie look hype.

Okay stepped up from mushroom hair to a slightly longer shroomstyle... the horrifying fringe is a sign that mummy cut it at home, herself.

And then I got slightly older, and instead of looking better (like most people do) I downgraded myself to being dorky, skinny, and sporting this very confusing hairstyle...

which turned out to be a lot better when I kept the specs aside, and let the hair grow a bit.

TADAH! Longest hair I had when I was a kid... shoulder length.

And what the F was this??? Hahahaha. Grew into the middle-part hype during the early 2000s when I was in middle school...

before I decided to chop 'em off really short in the beginning of high school years. I lost some pictures from my horrid disastrous spiked hair with shroom fringe back in the days. That's by far the worst hairstyle I've sported in my whole life I guess... even mummy's jagged cuts were still better!

Looking all innocent back in... 2004? Can't remember when exactly, it's either '04 or '05. Slightly longer hair!!!

to cut it again in the end of high school...

and shorter, at the beginning of uni.

Pretty much worked this length and shape throughout the next 2 uni years. Even though being an easily bored person, I trim them and make SLIGHT difference every now and then. Including...

an attempt to get it shorter... and then...

getting rid of the layers...

and voila. finally sporting even length, jet black, medium hair.

Some people actually say that I look better in this length than the length I own at the moment. Really???

I also added a bit of color finally!!! A little shade of brown :)

And then it grew into this.

This is the point when I actually stopped cutting my hair literally (with fringe as an exception in the boredom department), an attempt to have a long long long hair.

I surprised quite a number of my close friends by coming home for a short trip all of a sudden. It was really an unplanned trip actually; the 'accidental' trip got me the idea of popping up out of the blue in front of my pals. They were thrilled :)

Had the tradition weekend dinner, that Saturday at Kitchenette, Plasa Indonesia.

I think forgiving and forgetting are two completely different things. I am a very forgiving person by nature; I forgive people with all my heart. But I NEVER FORGET WHAT THEY DID. It's not that I hold a grudge against them, no, but there's a saying that you shouldn't fall twice into the same hole. I hold onto that pretty tight. I've gotten things that people mistook my memory of what happened to me as me not forgiving... Trust me before I forgive someone, I can be pretty nasty, and when I can be actually genuinely nice, don't worry, I've forgiven you.

Vineyard Love... and Palm Beach

In the middle of one of those random vineyards in Waiheke island. I was holding my helmet! Yes me and my brother biked around the island (which was a big mistake considering the hilly roads in that place).

First time ever touching grapes that are grown for wine! Cute as.

The best winery in my opinion (I only visited three anyway, because we ran out of energy to bike). Lovely wine collections, homey feelings, and the owner is charismatically charming!

Cable Bay, where I bought a bottle of this very yummy Sauvignon Blanc.

They have this breathtaking view at the back of their wineyard...

Love this photo just because... I shed a few unwanted weights (mostly in my tummy) after the whole backpacking trip. Even my arms appear smaller.

We biked for more than 5 kms uphill to get to Palm Beach... exhausted and sweating like crazy. This was when we took one of those 5 minutes desperate stops.

Finally at Palm Beach! I was so joyous even though the weather started to get gloomy after a while...

Saying goodbye is hard.

I met Sarah several months ago via the loving world of blogging back in July-- upon our first meeting we clicked right away. We are polar opposites of each other's personalities besides our one common "eating is my life" interest, but she recently got me into more 'spiritual' things, such as astrology and palm reading.

Anyways she had to leave Auckland for good last week, so we spent the whole Friday (two days before her departure) together; in addition of a semi-farewell dinner at Da Vinci's.

Sarah and me, impatiently waiting for our meal. She's so happy cos I appear darker than her in this photo--and vice versa, I'm happy to be darker than her.

1. Was 2011 good for you?

Aside from my yoyo mood and recovery from some minor depression (that shed my weight massively) I can say that it was good... as I moved to NZ from the dull Jakarta. Learning how to cook properly, fulfilling my dream of becoming a chef! Oh but my love life sucks this year.

2. What was your favorite moment this year?

Getting my own apartment I guess. The sense of freedom, space, and independence!

3. What was your least favorite moment of the year?

Definitely having people judging me as if they know me so well. I overheard a nasty conversation about me, and little can I say that it kinda crushed my already rigged self esteem. Well for a moment at least.

4. What are your plans now that you are turning 24 next year?

Get a decent job with proper salary and (hopefully) nice boss and colleagues.

Learn how to drive because (another plan) I want to live in a townhouse NOT in the CBD.

5. What date will remain etched in your memory?

April 18, 2011. The start of my course to become a chef. A marking of a new life path.

6. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

I would say, being able to do everything alone, standing up for myself, and forgiving people who did awful things to me. I wouldn't have said that I was big on forgiveness... until now that I learn that forgiving is the best way to move on.

7. What was your biggest failure?

Quitting a sucky job before finding a new one.

8. Did you suffer any illness or injury?

I was really sick in the beginning of 2011 that I was having a prolonged fever... and lost some weight.

9. What was the best thing you bought?

I would like to say iPad but I haven't bought it yet... so I guess I'll say my Havaianas flip flops.

One of my ex flatmates with her I'm-always-right attitude. Chick didn't date for 6 or 7 years upon meeting her current (and weird) boyfriend yet she constantly gave me suggestions on 'how to find a right guy for you'; chick talked shit about me behind my back thus a lot of people who didn't know me thought I was a total bitch... etc etc. Too long to talk about her here.

Profiteroles

Trying to post something more than just pictures... I decided to share what I love the most; profiteroles.

Choux pastry is like, my favorite ever, because basically I don't eat that much of pastry. I dislike the taste and texture of sable, short, sweet short, or puff pastry... and don't let me started on the amount of butter please. I dislike overly sweet stuffs and crunchy stuffs (I don't eat cookies, lol).

And you know what... choux is soooo easy to make!!!
I get creeped out by how annoyingly expensive eclairs and profiteroles are sold in the bakery.

Freshly baked... puffed... cuteeeeeeeeee!

Basically you need to melt butter in a pan of water, salt, and sugar until it's boiling, and then adding in the flour... and you have to stir it REALLY FAST at this stage because you don't want your dough to stick and burn in the pan.

And then just warm the dough in a mixing bowl for around 3-5 minutes while stirring it continuously. You don't want the dough to be cold, because this dough is best to work with when it's warm. And then add in 4 eggs one at a time, stirring it as fast as you can and TAADAAHHH you have your choux pastry dough, ready to be piped. As simple as that!!!

Ingredients needed:
• 4 large eggs
• 125g butter
• 250ml water
• 150g strong flour
• 20g sugar
• 4g salt

Try it! it's so easy and fun to make... but watch it when you pipe it because you don't want to layer the dough. ONE LAYER is enough!!! :D

Goat Island and Primo Saturdays

So last Saturday, I went to Goat Island (approximately an hour drive from CBD) with some people from the class, for a fishing trip. It was my first fishing trip ever!!!!
The weather was sunny AND windy at the same time, so I was trying to get some tan but then I was dying from the cold shiver as well. Oh things I would do for a dark skin!

On Sunday, bloody tired me, Sarah, and Frenchy decided to hit the hot pools at Waiwera, Orewa, North Auckland. The three of us had had a crazy tiring full day Saturday and a late party night, thus making the trip so worth it!!! Relaxing in the hot pools was... awesomesauce.

Entrance is $26 for adults and $20 for students. Sarah had supermarket coupons so we have one free entry! $13 each woohoo!

On the bus to Waiwera. It took us approximately an hour by bus from the CBD to Orewa.

My heart aches. It breaks. It hurts... because........
I am so fair.

Yes, this is the fairest skin tone I've ever been for the past two years. Blame the stubborn winter, annoying rain, bloody long sleeves, frikin jeans, fugly uniform, hella jackets! Yes they're cool for one or two months but when I saw how fair my skin has become... I started panicking literally.

Everyone who knows me knows that I love being dark. Like one of my favorite make up items is bronzer... bronzer brush, shimmering bronzer, bronze cream.

So yeh to welcome the coming summer, I'm gonna invest my money in good tanning oil. I don't really like those spray tans or those tan in a can thingy. Permanent tan is the goal. I won't cheat by using the wash off tan products.

I wanna be darker than I was last year.

Some Update

Started my Monday with a very bad case of cold symptoms... drowsy, sneezy, coughing, and fever-ish. Had to skip school just to find out the next day (on Tuesday) that I have to submit ALL paper, mounted properly, on friggin Thursday. So anyways I will be doing my paper in speedingzone because I haven't done that much to begin with... sigh.

Summer is ALMOST here!!! I can smell it, taste it, breathe it. It is so sunny during the afternoons (on those days when the crazy weather here decides to be nice), but since it's still spring, it's still quite chilly at night. Oh and don't let me start talking about the wind.

Anyway I've been quite sick since Friday, suffering from hay fever symptoms. That means this weekend is a quiet one... no partying no crazy walking in the middle of the night laughing and singing. But thank God the weather was sooooooo goooooood this afternoon. I couldn't ditch it to drink meds and go to sleep the whole day!!

Had fish and chips followed by ice cold Starbucks' machiatto, followed by a spontaneous visit to the Auckland library... to borrow some books and read it at sunny Albert Park! Bliss.

And again I went M.I.A. in this blog. So sorry but lack of motivation to post is not an excuse... I just don't know what to post basically.

Honestly the past 3 weeks I've been feeling disconnected from the world around me. I have no idea what connects me with my friends and family anymore... I guess the way we think are so different. Or maybe I change too much. Sometimes I don't feel normal either.
But heh that's life.

Not that I'm feeling down or anything... I just realized some things about myself that I hadn't known existed before.

It's crazy how three weeks and series of bad events can actually teach you so many things.
And it's so surprising that series of bad events don't actually shake me that much anymore. Yes it's so surprising because it's not me! I'm supposed to be this bloody emotional person... well I'm not that person anymore. Happy about that. The more you're able to portion your heart and brain... the stronger you get.

The weather was so sunny and beautiful on Saturday we decided to have fish and chips by St. Heliers beach. I wore my summer dress-- HUGE mistake. Cos even though it was sunny it was also breezy.

Help.

I have winter ~~sunburn~~ itch.

When I go out I have patchy red skin on my face... it's as if I get like sunburn or something. It's only temporary though, when the weather or the wind is cold.
I've been reading lots of shits about moisturizers and all. Trust me I moisturize at least twice a day! And I have a naturally oily skin so I can't actually rely on oil based moisturizers which are heavier than most combination skin moisturizers...

Can't wait for the season to be over and I can finally have my skin back.

Sigh.

Time sure flies!
Can't believe that it's the second of August. I still feel as if I had just come to Auckland yesterday, embracing the new world of cold and winter.

Anyways I'll be moving house again! It will happen next week and even though after that happens I'll be super broke out of paying rent I am super excited cos I will be living alone. Yes, my own home. And apparently my apartment has good feng shui or whatsoever.

So yes looking right to it :)

On the other hand I'm trying to enjoy the suburban commuting life as long as I can.
It was an extremely beautiful day today. Can't not snap a pic.

Anyway I'm trying to catch up with school work.
Menu design is not as fun as I thought it would be because apparently we have to also do all the budget costings (yes, one by one ingredient pricing checklist -.-), shift rotation, wastage control, market segmentation, demographics blahhhhhblahhhhhblahhhhhhhh.

My first mock menu, which is apparently not enough as I only have 3 entrees, mains, and desserts AND we actually need to have four... balanced... menus.... so yes. -.-

On the other hand, had my first spa in NZ after 4 months!

Rach is super lucky as she has a jacuzzi on her deck.... I WANT ONE!

So we've known each other since middle school. But what's funny's that, the fact that we barely talked during middle school and high school!

We had different sets of friends, different social circles, always different classes.
It's easy to say that we didn't actually get a chance to see if we could get along back then!!!

Had dinner at Tanpopo. One and a half bowl of yummy ramen... but too bad I missed usual food snap cos was too hungry!

Shou Sumiyaki

On my last night at Melbourne, my brother decided to treat us (me and his gf Jen) for a nice dinner at Shou Sumiyaki.

The small Japanese BBQ restaurant is really really good, serving grade 8 beef wagyu strips for $25 -- which tastes like HEAVEN in your mouth literally.

Sauce selections.

Wagyu beef dumpling... awesome and juicy.

Some crab roll... tastes mediocre not more than that.

Beef korokke or something.... this is really good.

The melt-in-your-mouth, 10/10 score, Grade 8 Wagyu beef strips.

Inside the foil is MUSHROOMS. Juicy, yummy, fresh shrooms.

Forgot to take pictures of the awesome miso soup and couple more entrees -.- was too hungry.

It was really packed that night and even though I'd booked a table beforehand, we still had to wait 30 mins for our table which was really blahhh.

Oh and Jen bought a pair of "Indonesian style" glasses at Dotti!

Last Meal with BFF at Melbourne

Since she'll be working during the weekend and I'm leaving on the weekend, Alga invited me out for a steak dinner with her boyfie and brother as well.

Being the hungry crazy foodie I am, I was so hungry til the point that... I actually forgot the name of that restaurant.

I don't know why for some reason I'm a HUGE fan of complimentary entree bread with butter. It is one of the most enjoyable moments for me just to spread truckload of butter on the bread and nom it.

The 1 kg pork ribs.
The meat was tender and juicy. It's slightly on the salty side for my tastebud, but nevertheless it's one of the best pork ribs I've ever tasted.

This was nice. Nothing distinguishably superb about it, but it's hella nice!

Anyways after the delicious meal we took a stroll around Melbourne CBD.

I wrote a card for my best friend today.
I stated that we'd be those mums who set playdates while sipping cocktails together. It naturally came out without any thinking, and I really want that to happen... Distance is certainly not a problem in a friendship, it actually kinda show you who you can stick with over time!

We met when we were both 9 years old, being in the same third grade class and all. But what's funny is the fact that we don't remember being in a class together! We met again through mutual friends during high school years and found a photo of third grade homeroom class... and realized that we had been classmates eons ago.

And right now I'm MAD AT HER! Haha. She shoveled LV catalogue to me and I now really want a handbag GRRGRRGRR she can be really persuasive sometimes.

...which means nothing. But that word always seems to pop out in my mind whenever I'm having mixed feelings-- happy and dizzy!

I just realized that Rugby World Cup 2011 will start in one and a half months... which means I have to find a city centre accommodation before that. Top it with property rate these days, the fact that I am yet to tell my flatmates that they'll have to find a replacement (because see, I'm still on a vacation and I think it's best to tell them in person, which will happen in a week or so), and the fact that class will start next Monday... which meanssssssss I have to take bus and still walk like mad to the new campus. I am not really a commuter. I can't take long, constant commute and I am really impressed with people who can put up with that in a long term, daily basis.

Anyway I had a long weekend of having late dinner with Lettuce people, attended a trance event and ended up with too much shots. Woke up the next morning for breakfast, long stroll, and Lego exhibition... and then went to the suburb of Glen Waverley for crazy load of Chinese buffet food, stayed over, headed to a far far away hot springs, came back to GW for homemade authentic Vietnamese pho, and I just got back home!

I am actually a bit annoyed when people constantly telling me that:
1) I have to eat more,
2) "You're still anorexicly skinny. Do eat!",
3) "There's no need to worry.", or
4) "She's so anorexic." -- "You're anorexic." -- "Anorexia!".

Oh dayumn, so it's mean to tell people that they're obese or overweight but it's perfectly normal to tease skinny people.

The world just works in a funny way yes? No?
I get it that SOME people are joking with all the anorexic comments, but really would you go to fat people and actually joke about how fat/obese/overweight they are? I guess the answer would be no.

Windy Melbourne!

I am in a two weeks winter trip to Melbourne!

It's so good seeing familiar faces and filling my precious tummy with heavenly food. Food, food, food. And I can use some time away from the Auckland routine.

Anyhow I have a great news I want to share with my blog readers (if there's still any left!)... that my city campus transfer application has been approved. That means I can now drag my butt from the suburbs and move to the city! So excited. This time I'm really looking for a one bedroom apartment, simply because maybe:
a) I am cursed with sharing houses with other people,
b) There's more freedom; I can actually roam around the house naked if I want to, which I won't do anyway!, and
b) A reason I won't write because... just because :)

Met up with supersuper nice Mookxi!!!!!! She gave me a gift; her favorite cupcakes which was so thoughtful of her... the cupcakes are the best I've ever had in my entire life btw. She's really chatty and I can't wait to meet her again next week so we can talk more (and sip sip some chocolate).

Hi all!

Yes, I have changed my blog layout again and no, it won't remain like this. Am planning to change the color and add a proper banner soon. I don't know why I get tired of my layout every month or two. It's bloody exhausting to code everything again one by one each time... sorry about that, you'll just have to bear with me. Well hey at least I'm writing something instead of posting unnecessary pictures! Haha.

Anyways it's been extremely windy these days. It's either sun+wind or sun+light rain or wind+rain. I don't have any mood to dress up. Barely have any mood to go outside (unless it's for groceries) at all. Sigh. The comfort of my bed and duvet has prisoned me well. I drink coffee more than two cups a day, which is bad bad bad. But then once you try Jarrah's Coffee Sensation you'll proooobably understand that it's addictive enough to make me drinking that several times in a day.

I used to do that often because oh well I am more a bag person than a shoe person.

Mother's Day Weekend Fun

As I was sick last weekend (boo) I spent two days in a row at the city this weekend. And it's also Mother's Day weekend! Jess is a mum and we kind of celebrated... with heaps of food, tinyyyyyyy bit of shopping, and moderate amount of alcohol (but enough to got me sleeping on the road omfg wtf).

We had ramen at Tanpopo for lunch on Saturday. It was YUMMY.

Breakfast was hotdog and cupcakes (yummy too) and we had fried chickens for dinner.

Days are filled with kitchen duties these days (it's practical week) and I've been very busy and exhausted all the time.

Auckland 101 Part 1

Hello!

I think it's been a while that I haven't posted anything worthy. It has been pictures all along, I don't know why. I guess I was losing my will to blog. There was this time (I think 2007-2008) when I would blog about my thoughts and all that, but I believe that I've changed to a more private person after I turned twenty one.

So anyhow! I'm going to share 5 random stories or facts about Auckland I've experienced so far!

1. There are no snakes (and other wild animals) in New Zealand.

My tutor actually told us earlier today in class that there were no snakes in New Zealand! And he added that there were no wild animals as well here (zoo is an exception). I didn't know that it's THAT SAFE here! So if one day (God forbid) I get stranded in the woods or something, I won't die because of animals.

2. Nice people are EVERYWHERE.

There are a lot of nice people stories I've experienced so far (including a lift from strangers), but one of the most notable ones is the bus ticket story. This morning, a middle aged guy crossed a busy highway road after getting off a car. Me and my friends thought that he wanted to wait for the bus as we're standing in front of a bus sign. But no. Gentleman walked to us, handed us a bus ticket, said, "Well I have this two hours pass still valid, so feel free to use it!" and walked away. Like literally walked away, again crossing the busy highway road, entering a house next to where he was dropped earlier.

SO NICE RIGHT????

3. Weather is bearable but wind is not.

It's like around 15-20 degrees celsius here in Auckland these days, but the wind is crazy annoying. It comes and it goes, and when it comes, it's so hard that sometimes I worry that I might got swept by the wind. Lol joking, but that's how to describe the mighty wind.

4. Fruits are amazing.

I don't know why but fruits taste awesome here. I've eaten kiwis, apples, green grapes, pineapples, bananas, feijoas (an NZ and Brazil only fruit), and oranges so far, and they're all REALLY good. Like super duper tasty kind of good.

5. Shopping is good too!

Basically NZ is like Australia. I've gotten questions that make NZ sound so behind but no it's not true. They have shops like in Australia here as well, like Supre, Cotton On, Forever New, JayJays, Dotti, etc. But my favorite shop so far is Number One Shoes. Uber gorgeous boots in friendly prices!

Sweepin' Saturday

I finally had a chance to meet up with my friend Jess in Auckland CBD on Saturday.
Took bus to meet up with her and the boys... and we did some shopping! Yayness.

She brought me to taste this orgasmic fried chicken from the Kebab vendor... damn. I'm literally drooling imagining the juicy meat.

Almost lost my leather jacket in Cotton On that day. It had been more than 30 mins til I realized that I didn't carry my jacket with me, so we ran back to Cotton On.
At first glance I couldn't spot my jacket and I was actually super worried cos that meant I had to spend another $50 for a leather jacket! But thank God I found it on a counter somewhere.... lucky!!!!!

First Week of Kiwi

HELLO!!!!

I've been in Auckland for more than a week now and I don't actually know what to say about this place... unless you want to read a superlong repetitive post about how AMAZING this place is. Really, I love it to bits!

The air is so fresh and people here are so so so nice... even strangers say hello to each other.

P.S. I haven't seen any cows or sheeps! Is Auckland boring? It's A BLOODY MYTH.

Life Is Short

... and spreading cancer is one of the most torturing ways to die.

My aunt passed away at 63 years old due to ovarian cancer.
The disease ate her slowly on a merely six months course, suffered the most during her last two months.
So yes when you feel any pain, any pain at all, even though it's just some gastric suspicion stomachache, please go to the doctor. You don't want to go there too late when the cancer is already spreading, making it in the last stage, which is not curable.

Rest in Peace, Aunt.

My bag is currently a black Le Pliage with no zip.
I carry a bag organizer to be kept inside the bag. Since I'm naturally a messy person, having the organizer helps me keep track on what's inside, so I don't have to make a total mess inside just to find something.
I always have a bottle of mineral water because I am not those people who are willing to pay a lot of money for water in restaurants.
The small panda pouch is to put my necessities; a Skittle lip balm, Revlon and NYX lipsticks, nail cutter, tissue, and contact lens case (the black Anna Sui wannabe thing).
I always carry mint candy because I am easily sick in the car -.- I am currently bringing GOLIA candy and my all time favorite, Milton's pineapple pastilles.
I bring a pad just in case of an emergency.
The pink Longchamp lookalike pouch is what I keep my Lumix camera in (the camera is not in the shot because I took this photo with it).
My best purchase last month; the portable mobile charger for my iPhone. I'm a heavy user and abuser, I always need extra battery.
Pink SonicGear earphone, in case it's getting too bored out there and I need music. My iPod was charged when I took the photo, so not in the picture!

Today for the umpteenth time my mom looked at my photo and said, "You have VERY high cheekbones."

The guilty photo:

I never actually heard people telling me I have high cheekbones beside my mom and my brother.
Not that anyone's told me anything before actually.
The features that are (more) famous--or should I say infamous-- on my face are my big nose (now you know why I rather pose semi-profile with tiniest smile I can give) and my small, Asian-Chinese ridden no eyelid eyes.

Oh and mom started telling me how girls with high cheekbones tend to be busy her whole life.
Busy as in I will be one of those busy bees actually ALWAYS having to do something, endless chores maybe?
Die. How superstitious of my mom. I hope it's not true!

My brother told me it's hard to control girls with high cheekbones.
And since (according to him) I possess those (almighty) cheekbones, you do the math.

So question is do I have high cheekbones???
I'm a sucker in figuring out things like these!!

When Am Sick and Blabbing About Apps

I've been suffering from extensive cold sickness for more than five days now, and I think I'm done complaining... because no matter how much I complain I don't get well anyway -.-
I was still fine on Wednesday afternoon but as soon as I reached home at night, I felt tad weak. I figured maybe it was best for me to sleep it over but hell no I was wrong.
Woke up the next day with crazy headache and whole body hurting as if 100 people punched me or something. I am still tired and feverish today but thank god the headache has reduced quite a lot. Days before today I couldn't even sleep due to the feverish headache and I tell you it was horrible!
I could only type (even on my phone) when the headache wasn't there and when it was, oh boy I just wanted to curl up and sleep. Not to mention that I got a cynical comment such as "What kind of sickness are you suffering from?? So long." or "Maybe you shop too much." <<< The most WTF comment ever, am just too sick to reply.

Anyway since I have nothing worthy to post (I don't know where's my camera cable shall find it soon) I figured an app post will do fine.

Greetings!

I'm loving 2011 so far. Flying solo and despite of the random stroke of loneliness, am loving it. Because my friends are all quirky and crazy and we all share one strong similarity... that we talk a lot. Like super a lot. We often get ssshhhhh-ed by strangers in public places because we literally don't stop talking ever.

I remember once in 2009 we had a small day trip to Bandung. By the time we got into the car until the time we arrived home, we NEVER ONCE stopped talking. My jaw hurt the next day seriously.

I have come to realize that since 2009 I think, I have totally changed the direction on the way I dress.

I used to love experimenting a bit and accessorize. But now I'm very far from that.

I'm getting more savvy with money I guess. It makes me save up on fashion items... like not that I don't shop, no. I love shopping.

I just rather spend my cash on basic, simple items. I used to love patterns, now I don't really wear them. I believe that basic pieces with neutral colors are very versatile and easily matched with everything.

And oh I loooveeee items on sale. Most people are surprised by the prices of those things I have in my closet. Yes, I love hunting for cheap stuffs!

Upon watching first season of Skins UK, Liss had told me that if I had liked Maxxie I'd have been super happy during season 2, because he has more screen appearances than in season 1. And that she liked Maxxie in the first Skins generation.
I was like, okay, because I started watching it to see Dev Patel. But I like what Liss calls 'nomming without the calorie' so I paid extra attention to Maxxie.

I started to get hooked on Maxxie during the Russian trip episode... but what locked me kao kao was after watching first episode of season two 'Tony and Maxxie'.

Life Around Waffles

I've been having waffles lately and I really really love it that I am thinking of investing in a waffle machine.
My favorite waffle treat so far is those from Pancious. They're crispy--but not overly crispy-- and the bites are perfect in your mouth. Really really tongue sex.
Then there are ones in Nanny's Pavillon. They're too soft for my liking, so I don't really dig it.
Just yesterday I was having waffles there. Upon ordering I already told the waiter that I want the ice cream not to be put on top of the waffles, because I don't like soggy cakes. Oh well my plate came to be swarming with melted ice cream... I was utterly pissed but I didn't wanna complain because it would mean that they have to change the whole order and if one of them had been in bad mood they might have just spit on my food lol... I've heard spitting and other disgusting stories about kitchens so yes I didn't want to take any chance.
This means I won't ever, ever go back to Nanny's Pavillon for waffles again.
